What is included?

You receive 32 unique pages in two matching 32-page PDFs: a premium color edition and a white-background low-ink edition. The 32 pages include a cover, parent guide, readiness check, rescue route, lessons and practice, tile toolkit, six game cards, game record sheet, park design challenge, reflection certificate and four adult answer pages. These are 32 unique pages, supplied in two editions, rather than 64 different lessons.

Four missions with a clear learning purpose

Tile Terrace teaches area by covering space with equal unit squares. Rowhouse Greenhouse connects rows to repeated addition and multiplication, then splits one rectangle into two parts. Fencewalk Orchard teaches the full outside boundary and missing side lengths. Moonflower Design Studio compares plans with equal areas or equal perimeters, checks supply choices, and ends with a garden the learner must explain.

There are 47 numbered activities plus four worked examples. Correct answers and open-response criteria are included. Learners count, draw, explain, spot mistakes and compare choices; speed is not the goal.

Who is ready for Garden Grid?

Suggested Grade 3 readiness: accurate counting, addition of whole-number lengths, and equal-group reasoning or multiplication facts through 10. An adult can read the story and support repeated addition. Ariel and Alice are adventure guides; their character ages do not define the worksheet difficulty.

This is a focused homeschool supplement covering whole-number rectangles, abstract unit grids and one rectangular decomposition. It does not teach a full geometry curriculum, general compound shapes, volume, decimal measurements or unit conversion.

How do we use and print it?

Choose either edition and print the pages you need on US Letter paper at Actual Size / 100%. Try two or three pages in a flexible parent-guided session, then ask your learner to explain inside versus around. A pencil is enough for most pages. Crayons are optional; an adult may cut the optional half-inch tiles and rescue cards.

Lesson diagrams use model units and are not intended for ruler measurement. The cutting-tool page includes an exact one-inch print-scale check. Save and unzip the download on your device, open the PDF in a PDF reader, and keep the adult answer pages separate while the child works.

Buyer questions

Is this a physical workbook?

No. This is a digital download for printing at home. Nothing is shipped.

Are answers included?

Yes. The adult guide includes answers, acceptable alternatives and criteria for the drawing and explanation tasks.

Do I need to print both editions?

No. They share the same activities, sequence and answers. Choose color or low-ink according to your printer and preference.

Can a younger child use it?

Readiness matters more than age. An adult may help with reading and repeated addition; learners still need to understand equal groups and four side lengths.

Can I use it with my co-op or classroom?

This purchase licenses one household to print for its own children. It does not include classroom, co-op, redistribution or resale rights.

Does it require an app or online account?

No learning app or account is needed after you save the files. You need a PDF reader and a printer for paper use.

Can I inspect pages before choosing the full pack?

Yes. Open the six-page free sample and view the real lesson and design previews below.
