Ariel called from the virtual front seat of their pixelated pink minivan, adding a dramatic gasp. “He almost spilled his imaginary frappuccino!”
“Oops! I’ll give him extra ice cream to say sorry!”
Alice giggled from her blanket-fort-turned-nursery on the floor, handing the bunny a crayon like it was a parking ticket.
That’s just how our day unfolded up in the homeschool gaming loft: one part chaos, two parts creativity, and infinite scoops of family fun—Brookhaven RP style. 🎉
🎭 Imagination Unleashed in Brookhaven RP
Roblox has become a springboard for storytelling in our home, but Brookhaven RP? That’s the girls’ Broadway. Today, they weren’t just players—they were moms, babies, paramedics, piano teachers, undercover spies, and drive-thru workers all at once.
With Ariel crafting dream homes complete with trampoline rooftops and zero-gravity kitchens, and Alice organizing high-speed diaper rescues backed by the elite Teddy Bear Tactical Squad, the loft echoed with laughter, questions, and the occasional “Who stole the unicorn car?!”
Each scenario unfolded like a self-made cartoon, but better—because they were the writers, the directors, the actors, and the audience.
🎹 From Gaming Room to Performance Hall
At one end of the room, Ariel leaned into her digital role as a Brookhaven worship leader. But instead of just pretending, she made it real—propping up her keyboard and plunking out a melody she insisted fit “church time.” Alice clapped and swayed on a blanket spread across the floor, her legs curled beneath her like she was attending a plush concert.
Behind them, the screens glowed with glowing avatars and interactive menus. But the real glow came from their creativity beaming out in every direction.
💡 Lessons Hidden in the Laughter
Today wasn’t just about screen time. It was about screen stories—and honestly, we’re giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in Pretend ER Excellence, here’s what I witnessed:
🧠 Critical Thinking – When one of their in-game houses caught fire (intentional? we’ll never know), they had to solve a whole rescue scenario.
🎭 Emotional Development – When Ariel made Alice the doctor and played sick, she let Alice “heal” her, learning about empathy in a pretend ER.
📚 Literacy and Communication – Their game chat was full of little sisterly negotiations: “You be the teacher, but don’t give me math!”
🎮 Tech Fluency – They navigated virtual tools, controls, and camera angles like pros. Seriously, Alice reset the projector herself.
✝️ Faith at Play
After their digital Brookhaven adventures, we paused together for our real-life devotion time.
“What does it mean to be a good sister?” I asked.
“To share even when you don’t want to,” Ariel replied thoughtfully.
“To say ‘sorry’ and give hugs,” added Alice, cheeks full of trail mix.
We read Romans 12:10 together:
“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.”
Even Fluffernutter nodded from Alice’s lap, then dramatically clutched a toy Bible to his fluffy chest and scribbled something inspirational into his tiny bunny journal with a crayon the size of his ear.
