By Ariel! 🐰✨
Hi friends! 🥳 I just turned 9 years old—and I discovered something so wild and wonderful that I had to share it with you: Pi! 🥧 Not the kind you eat (though we totally had pie too), but the endless number that circles use to measure themselves. Isn’t that amazing?
Colorful streamers crinkled like confetti snakes across our living room. A chocolate pie with whipped cream spirals sat beside my journal, and I felt like each candle I blew out whispered a secret math fact into the air. That’s when it hit me—turning 9 on Pi Day isn’t just fun, it’s full of God’s design. The kind that’s hidden in every swirl, every circle, every curious question we ask.
“Have you ever wondered,” I asked my little sister, “how a number can go on forever without repeating?” She stared at her plate and said, “I think Mr. Fluffernutter ate an infinite pie…” 😂
That’s when I started collecting my favorite pi facts for kids, with sprinkles of Scripture and slices of science all around. Because learning about Pi isn’t just about math—it’s about celebrating how creative God is. The more I learned, the more I started thinking: maybe God’s love is kind of like Pi… immeasurable, mysterious, and always surrounding us.
So come on—grab your journal, your biggest questions, and maybe a slice of your favorite pie. Let’s explore together! 💡✏️

1️⃣ Pi Never Ends—Just Like God’s Love! 🔢✨
Did you know Pi is a number that never, ever ends? Like, really—forever! It starts at 3.14159… and just keeps going without repeating. Some people call it an irrational number—but I think it’s wonderfully wild!
I imagined each digit as a sprinkle on a never-ending cookie. 🍪 Every time you think you’re done, surprise—there’s another one! Mathematicians have found trillions of digits, and they’re still counting. Doesn’t that feel like discovering tiny treasures inside math?
📖 “Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.” —Psalm 147:5
God made numbers we can’t even finish… maybe because His wisdom is infinite, too!
What’s something in your life that feels too big to count—but still brings joy?

2️⃣ Pi Is Hiding Inside Every Circle! 🍩🏀🍕
Wanna find Pi in real life? Grab a donut, a plate, or even a basketball. If you divide the distance around the edge (called the circumference) by the distance across the middle (diameter), you’ll always get Pi! 💡
That’s right—Pi lives in every single circle, no matter the size. It’s one of the coolest pi facts for kids because it shows how math connects shapes all around us.
🐰 Fluffernutter’s Circle Challenge:
Measure a round object with a string. Then measure the straight line across. Divide the big number by the little one… BOOM—Pi appears!
Have you ever looked at something round and wondered what secrets it holds?

3️⃣ Pi Is Over 4,000 Years Old! ⏳📜
Long before calculators and chalkboards—and yes, even before Fluffernutter’s bunny ancestors—people were already using Pi!
Ancient Babylonians guessed Pi was 3.125, and Egyptians said 3.1605. Not perfect, but super close! They used these numbers to build buildings, plant crops, and even study the stars. 🌾✨
Isn’t it amazing how curiosity about God’s world goes back thousands of years?
What do you think those early scientists felt when they discovered something no one else had seen before?

4️⃣ Someone Memorized 100,000 Digits of Pi?! 🤯🧠
Yep, it’s true! The world record for memorizing digits of Pi is over 100,000 numbers long. Can you imagine remembering that without forgetting where you put your socks? 😂
It takes focus, patience, and a little bit of Pi obsession to do that!
🐰 Fluffernutter’s Memory Game:
Start with 3.14 and try to memorize just 2 more digits each day. Keep score in a journal and challenge a friend!
“Whatever you do, do it with all your heart.” —Colossians 3:23
What’s something you’ve worked hard to remember? How did it feel to get better at it?

5️⃣ Pi Helps Astronauts Get to Space! 🚀🌌
Without Pi, rocket ships would totally miss their mark and float into space spaghetti! 🍝 For real—scientists at NASA use Pi to figure out trajectories, orbits, and angles for space travel. ✨
Pi helps them calculate circles in space—like planet orbits and satellite paths. It’s the math behind the mission!
That means God’s creation is so orderly, even space math has a plan.
What’s one way you’ve seen math—or God’s design—help things work smoothly in your life?

6️⃣ Pi Is in Pizza AND Pie! 🥧🍕
Every time you cut into a circular pizza, guess who’s there? Pi! The formula π × r² helps us find the area of the pizza to know how many slices we’ll need. That’s delicious math in action.
Let’s say your pizza is 12 inches across. The radius (half of that) is 6. Using Pi:
Area = π × 6² = π × 36 ≈ 113 square inches
If one guest eats 14 square inches… about 8 people can share that pizza!
“God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” —1 Corinthians 14:33
Have you ever used math to solve a problem with friends or family? How did it help?

7️⃣ Pi Helps Us Understand Rivers Too! 🌊🍝
Rivers twist and turn through the land like wiggly spaghetti. Scientists noticed something super cool—their curvy paths often match the value of Pi when you compare them to a straight line!
From giant rivers to tiny creeks, God’s design in nature whispers geometry if you listen closely.
“He made streams flow in the desert.” —Psalm 107:35
What’s your favorite natural place? Can you see shapes or patterns in it?

8️⃣ Einstein Was Born on Pi Day! 🎂🧠
March 14 isn’t just Pi Day—it’s also Albert Einstein’s birthday! 🎉 And in 2018, Stephen Hawking passed away on the same day. Whoa. Two of the most brilliant science minds ever, both linked to Pi!
Guess what? That’s my birthday too! 🤓 So we’re basically all in the genius club now. (Fluffernutter says he’s the president.)
Maybe God loves giving special reminders through people who ask big questions.
What’s one thing you’ve learned that made you stop and say, “Wow, God is so creative!”?

9️⃣ There’s Another Pi Holiday?! 🗓️🥧
Most people know about Pi Day on March 14 (3.14), but have you heard of Pi Approximation Day on July 22 (22/7)? That’s because 22 ÷ 7 ≈ 3.14 too!
It’s another reason to eat pie, learn math, and celebrate how amazing numbers can be. 🥳
More math. More pies. More joy. God really knew what He was doing with circles!
🐰 Fluffernutter says: “Every circle is a reminder that God’s love has no corners!”
How could you celebrate God’s creativity through something fun like Pi Day?

🎂 Happy Birthday to the Pi Queen!
Before we hop away, guess what’s even cooler than Pi? 🎉 Turning 9 years old on Pi Day! That’s right—this blog post is also a birthday party for me (Ariel!), and I’m so excited you’re here to celebrate.
We had the most amazing time today—think cheesy pizza, whipped cream pies, and yes, even a few carrot cupcakes for Fluffernutter. 🥕🧁 But more than anything, I loved learning new pi facts for kids that reminded me just how endless God’s creativity really is.
“To everything there is a season… a time to laugh!” —Ecclesiastes 3:4
And laughing over circular pies while learning math? That’s totally a holy moment. 💛
