Hi, friends! 🌟 Guess what I booted up this morning? The TAM—my Time Audit Machine! It’s a combo of imagination, prayer, and a few leftover LEGO gears I borrowed from Alice (with permission… mostly). When I flipped the switch and whispered today’s verse—3 John 1:4—the screen blinked to life, casting this soft, golden glow like warm flashlight beams bouncing across a blanket fort.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

I felt those words settle in like cozy socks on a chilly day.

Suddenly, my room wasn’t just a room anymore. It became a trail—a glowing path made of memory verses and kind choices, stretching all the way back to Gaius and forward into our lives today. I saw little footprints glowing with truth—like when I help Alice find her bunny, or when I remember to pray for my friends at church.

And that’s when it hit me: walking in truth is more than knowing the right things—it’s doing the loving things. It’s hugs that hold on a little longer. It’s sharing snacks without a grumble. It’s saying “I forgive you” even when your heart feels all crinkled up. And wow, when we walk that way? It lights up the world.

So today, I’m inviting you on a joy-filled journey. Let’s explore what it really means to walk in truth—step by step, smile by smile, faith choice by faith choice. I’ll bring the sparkly pens, you bring your heart, and together we’ll fill this day with encouragement, like fireflies glowing for Jesus.

Ready? Let’s walk it out together. 💛✨

🌱 The Joy of Spiritual Prosperity: Living Well from the Inside Out

Guess what we talked about during Bible time last night? Spiritual health! 🧠💖 It might sound like something only grownups say, but wow—it’s actually about how close our hearts stay to God, and how that connection helps every part of us grow stronger, even our bodies and emotions!

Daddy opened the Bible to 3 John 1:1–4 and read it out loud while I flipped open my journal to a fresh page. Then he said something super cool:

“When our spiritual lives thrive, everything else begins to glow too.”

I blinked. “Wait,” I asked, tapping my pen against my cheek, “Why does John say, ‘I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers’? Does that mean our soul and our health are connected?”

Daddy smiled like he always does when he’s about to say something wise. “Yes, Ariel,” he said. “John is reminding Gaius—and us—that spiritual prosperity is the best kind of success. When your soul is filled with truth, love, and faith in God, it naturally brings peace, energy, and joy to your life. And that joy has a way of shining through your body, your mind, and your actions.”

Alice looked up from hugging Mr. Fluffernutter and whispered, “So… walking in truth makes your heart feel squishy and strong at the same time?”

Yaya laughed softly. “Exactly, sweetheart. When we live by God’s truth, it creates harmony in us—like a melody between our heart and our hands. That kind of life brings encouragement to others too, just like John felt joy hearing about Gaius. Truth isn’t just for learning—it’s for living.”

Then Daddy added something I scribbled down in pink glitter pen:

“Spiritual health isn’t about having perfect answers—it’s about letting God’s truth shape how we speak, love, serve, and grow.”

And you know what? I felt that. Right in the middle of my chest, like a soft glow reminding me that truth and joy walk hand in hand.

💬 Let’s Talk Together:

How do you think walking in truth changes the way we treat others?

Can you think of someone whose faith has brought you joy?

What helps you feel spiritually healthy—prayer, Bible time, singing, or maybe helping someone?

🌟 The Joy of Walking in Truth: How Our Faith Inspires Others

“For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.”
— 3 John 1:3 (KJV)

When Daddy read that verse, I imagined John grinning like someone who just got the best news ever. And you know what that news was? Gaius was walking in truth! Like, not just knowing the Bible—but living it. That made John rejoice greatly (which I wrote in my journal with two hearts and a highlighter!).

“John is telling us something powerful here,” Daddy explained. “When we live by God’s Word—when our truth isn’t just spoken but seen—it spreads joy to everyone watching. Our faith becomes a ripple that reaches hearts we don’t even realize.”

I raised my hand like we do in Sunday School and asked, “So… when I live faithfully, I can encourage someone else to do the same?”

Daddy nodded. “Exactly. You might not always notice it, but your kind choices, your honesty, your gentle words—they’re all part of walking in the truth. And when people see that, it gives them hope. Your walk might lead someone else closer to Jesus.”

Alice whispered, “Like a bunny trail of truth?” 🐰

We all smiled because—yes! That’s it.

💡 Walking in Truth: A Ripple of Encouragement

Daddy went on to say something that made me draw a big ripple diagram in my notebook:

“When we walk in truth, it’s like dropping a pebble of faith into a big pond. The ripples reach farther than we can see.”

Each ripple—each truth-filled choice—brings encouragement to someone who might be going through a tough time. It reminds others that they’re not alone in their faith walk. And that’s why truth isn’t just personal—it’s community-building.

So whether it’s helping clean up without being asked, sharing Bible verses with a friend, or forgiving someone when it’s hard… those actions carry truth into the world. They shine. And they invite others to shine, too.

💬 Let’s Reflect Together:

What’s one truth from the Bible you want to live out this week?

Who has inspired you to walk in truth?

Can you think of a moment when someone’s kindness or faith encouraged you?

🌿 Spiritual Prosperity and How It Affects Everything

John wrote something really beautiful in 3 John 1:2:

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

When Daddy read that verse out loud during family Bible time, I blinked and asked, “Wait, so John is saying he wants Gaius to be healthy—but first he talks about his soul?”

Daddy nodded.

“Exactly,” he said. “John hopes Gaius feels good physically, but he points out that the most important thing is his spiritual health. When our souls are strong and walking in God’s truth, it changes everything—from how we think to how we live.”

That made me wonder:

“So if our souls are healthy, it can affect how our bodies feel too?”

Daddy smiled.

“Not always in a magic way,” he said, “but yes. When our hearts are filled with peace from God, it helps us face stress, sadness, or sickness differently. A spiritually healthy soul brings joy and strength, which can even help our bodies feel better. It’s all connected—body, heart, and spirit.”

Then Yaya shared something that made my heart feel squishy and full all at once:

“Living in harmony with God,” she said softly, “brings a joy deeper than anything the world can offer. It’s a kind of spiritual prosperity that fills our hearts with purpose and peace. God’s love isn’t just a comforting idea—it’s a powerful presence that helps us grow stronger inside. When we trust Him, our hearts become like lanterns in a storm, shining bright with courage and kindness. And that light draws others toward Jesus.”

Whoa. That made me think of how Fluffernutter always glows extra bright in our stories whenever we do something kind. Maybe joy is contagious… especially when it comes from God.

💡 Reflect & Share

Can you think of someone who shines with God’s peace—even when things get tough?

Have you ever noticed how trusting God changes the way you handle hard days?

What are some ways you take care of your spiritual health?

💖 The Greatest Joy: Seeing Others Walk in Truth

John wrote something that makes my heart smile:

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
—3 John 1:4

During Bible time, Daddy paused after reading this verse and looked at us with that super-serious-but-happy face he does when he’s about to say something big.

“John isn’t talking about biological children here,” he explained.
“He means people he’s helped grow in faith—people he’s poured into. Hearing that they’re walking in truth brings him the greatest joy. It’s not about accomplishments or awards—it’s about seeing someone live faithfully and grow closer to God.”

I tilted my head and asked,

“So… seeing people live in God’s truth is the greatest kind of joy?”

Daddy nodded so fast it made Yaya chuckle.

“Absolutely. When someone we love begins living out God’s truth—whether it’s a friend, a younger sibling, or someone we’ve mentored—it’s like watching a light switch turn on in their heart. Their growth blesses them and encourages us. It’s proof that sharing God’s Word really matters.”

Then Yaya added something that felt like a warm hug wrapped in words:

“When we see others walking in the truth, it’s a reminder that we’re part of something much bigger than ourselves. We’re all on this faith journey together—woven together like threads in a tapestry. Each step someone takes in God’s direction strengthens all of us. Their victories are our celebrations. Their growth is our testimony.”

I thought about that for a second. It’s like every time Alice shares a Bible verse with a friend or prays for someone out loud (which she does in a SUPER loud voice), it’s not just good for them—it lifts all of us. Their courage becomes a spark for our own faith.

✨ Faith-Filled Questions to Talk About

How can you help others grow in their relationship with God this week?

Who in your life brings you joy because they’re walking with Jesus?

Has someone ever encouraged your faith journey in a special way?

🌱 Practical Ways to Encourage Others in the Truth

After we finished reading 3 John together, Daddy asked,

“So how can we live this out in real life?”

I grabbed my journal (and Fluffernutter, of course), and we started brainstorming!

🙋‍♀️ Living Out the Truth

I said,

“I want to live what I believe—not just say the right things, but really walk in truth every day. That means being honest, kind, patient, and brave, even when it’s hard.”

When we practice Christian integrity—like telling the truth when it’s tough or helping someone without expecting anything back—we reflect God’s love with our actions.

“Actions speak louder than words,” Daddy reminded me,
“and a faithful life can inspire others more than a thousand speeches.”

So whether it’s at school, at home, or even while playing Minecraft with Alice, I want people to see the light of Jesus in how I treat them.

🤝 Encouraging Our Friends in Faith

Alice (with Fluffernutter tucked under her arm) shouted:

“I’ll tell my friends stories about Jesus and pray with them!”

Yaya smiled.

“That’s a wonderful way to encourage others in their faith journey,” she said.

Sharing Bible verses, inviting friends to church or Sunday School, or just being a good example can make a big difference. Sometimes, people are just waiting for someone kind and courageous to show them what walking with Jesus looks like.

💌 Celebrating Faithfulness in Others

Then Yaya added something I scribbled in big, sparkly letters in my notebook:

“Don’t keep the joy to yourself! When someone is faithful—say something! A note, a hug, or a prayer can mean the world.”

That’s so true! When we celebrate the faith of others, we’re not just encouraging them—we’re strengthening the whole church family. Even little moments of gratitude can shine bright for someone who’s feeling discouraged.

✨ Think About This…

  • How can you live out what you believe this week?
  • Is there someone you can encourage today with a kind word or prayer?
  • What’s one way you can show others what it means to walk in truth?

👣 Family Activity: Sharing the Joy of Walking in Truth

This week, our family started something really special—a “Walking in Truth Challenge”! It was our way of growing closer to each other and learning how to live out God’s truth in real, everyday ways.

Each day, we picked one action that would help encourage someone else in their faith. Some days we shared a Bible verse, helped a friend with a task, or just talked about what God was teaching us lately. These small steps made a big difference—not just in other people’s lives, but in ours too.

🌟 A Moment That Sparked Faith

One of my favorite parts of the week happened when Alice decided to share a Bible story with her friend. They sat on the porch with Fluffernutter between them, flipping through her children’s Bible. Alice explained how Jesus calmed the storm and then asked,

“Do you think Jesus still calms our storms today?”

They talked and giggled and wondered together. Watching them reminded me that even the littlest moments—like a shared story or a kind word—can plant seeds of faith.

“Let your light so shine before others…”
—Matthew 5:16

💌 Words That Lift the Spirit

Later in the week, Daddy wrote a letter to one of our family friends who leads a Bible study group at their church. He told them how much their faithfulness inspired us and how thankful we are for their example.

Their response?
Tears.
Gratitude.
And a big, joyful message that said the letter was exactly what they needed that day.

That moment made me realize how powerful it is when we encourage others in their walk with God. A few heartfelt words can ignite joy, strengthen someone’s faith, and bring glory to God.

🧡 Final Thought: Living in Truth Together

John reminds us in 3 John 1:4:

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

Walking in truth isn’t something we do alone. When we walk in truth together, we build up the body of Christ with love, joy, and encouragement. Every act of kindness, every shared prayer, and every honest conversation is a step forward on this faith-filled journey we share.

Let’s keep sharing our joy in seeing others walk in truth. I’d love to read your ideas and stories in the comments!

With love and joy,
Ariel 💖
