By Alice

Ahoy, fellow explorers and snack-time superheroes! Ready to jump into a squishy, squiggly, giggle-packed adventure with me—Alice, the Pirate Queen of Couch Cushions and Supreme Commander of Fluffernutter’s Bunny Brigade?

Imagine if God’s peace was a giant bubblegum bubble you could blow and ride all the way to the moon—or if His grace was a secret sprinkle that made even broccoli taste like candy (okay, maybe not broccoli, but you get it!). What if kindness could zoom faster than a racecar made out of cereal boxes?

Mr. Fluffernutter just did a little bunny hop and said, “Did you know God’s peace is like a cozy blankie that never gets too hot or too scratchy?” I say, let’s find out together!

We’re about to turn everyday stuff—like puddles, teacups, and even snoring shadows—into magical moments bursting with God’s love and sparkling grace. So grab your imaginary treasure map (I hid mine behind the couch) and your silliest hat, because this is no ordinary story—it’s an epic quest to live in God’s peace and grace every single day!

Ready, set, GO! Let’s bounce, bounce, bounce right into the adventure. And hey, if a snail wants to join our royal parade, I say, “Bring it on!”

Step 1: The Source of True Peace

“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:16

Daddy told us that Paul calls God the Lord of peace, which means all the real, super-duper peace comes only from Him. Sometimes, I thought peace was just when everything was quiet and calm—like when no one’s fighting over the last cookie. But Ariel asked, “Does peace mean no problems at all?” Daddy smiled and said, “Not quite! God’s peace isn’t about having zero troubles. It’s about feeling His love and calm right in the middle of the noise and mess.”

“God’s peace fills our hearts, no matter what’s happening around us.” — Yaya

Yaya reminded me that even when things feel all jumbled and tricky, we can still feel peace because God is always in control. Imagine a cool, shady oasis in a hot desert—that’s what God’s Spirit feels like in our hearts when worries try to sneak in.

Isn’t it amazing that God’s peace flows like a gentle river inside us, ready anytime we ask? It doesn’t mean our problems disappear like magic, but with God’s peace, we get to be brave and calm, like a ship sailing strong through a wild storm.

This peace is super special because it’s a choice we make. We can tell our worries, “Hey, I’m handing you over to God,” and then rest knowing He’s got every little thing planned just right. Like waves softly tapping the shore, God’s peace never quits—it’s always there to remind us we’re never alone.

When life feels scary or confusing, turning to God’s peace isn’t just sitting still—it’s a powerful hug from God that helps us stand tall. And guess what? When we share that peace with friends and family, we help spread His love in a world that really needs it.

Questions to Think About

How can you be a helper who shares God’s peace with someone today?

Can you remember a time when you felt God’s peace even if things weren’t easy?

What helps you feel calm when your heart feels worried?

Step 2: Paul’s Personal Blessing — A Handwritten Hug from God

“The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:17

Daddy told us that Paul made sure to finish his letters with a special personal touch—writing part of it with his very own hand! Ariel wondered, “Why did Paul do that?” Daddy smiled and said, “It was Paul’s way of saying, ‘This message really comes from me—and from God.’” It wasn’t just a signature; it was like a big, warm hug wrapped up in ink!

“God’s Word is personal and trustworthy—like a love letter from Him to us.” — Yaya

Yaya explained how Paul’s handwritten words remind us that God’s Word isn’t just some old book. It’s a personal love letter filled with truth, encouragement, and hope—just for you and me. When I think about that, I feel like God is writing His messages in my heart every single day, drawing me closer with His endless love.

In today’s world of texts and emojis, Paul’s handwritten note shows how much time and care went into sharing his message. Each letter stroke carried not only his words but his feelings, like a secret treasure map leading to faith and friendship. When Paul wrote by hand, he invited everyone to feel close to God—like being wrapped in a cozy blanket of care.

Prayer, reading the Bible, and quiet moments with God feel like getting a letter made just for me—filled with acceptance, discovery, and love. God wants to talk to us personally, just like Paul talked to his friends in Thessalonica.

What This Means for Us

Paul’s special letters teach us about hope and friendship with God and others. How can we add our own personal “handwritten hugs” in the way we talk and care for people around us? God’s Word reminds us that we are truly loved and valued—and we get to share that love every day!

Questions to Ponder

What’s your favorite way to talk to God and feel close to Him?

Can you think of a time when a personal message made you feel really special?

How can you show love and care to someone using your own “handwritten hug” today?

Step 3: The Power of Grace — A Gift That Never Runs Out

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”2 Thessalonians 3:18

So, guess what I learned? Grace isn’t just a fancy word that floats around church like glitter in the air—it’s superpower sprinkles from Jesus! Daddy told us that grace means God gives us His love and help, even when we don’t earn it. It’s like a treasure chest that never runs out—even if you ask for it ten zillion times before breakfast!

Ariel asked, “Is grace only for when we make mistakes?” and Daddy said, “Nope! Grace saves us and strengthens us. It helps us grow in our faith every single day.” WHOA. That means grace is like God’s hug that holds us up, even on days when our socks don’t match and we feel kind of wobbly inside.

“Grace is what allows us to love others, be patient, and remain hopeful.” — Yaya

Yaya said grace is the reason we can keep loving, waiting, forgiving, and hoping—even when people forget to say thank you or things don’t go our way. I like to think of grace as sparkly jelly that holds all our peanut-buttery pieces together!

Sharing God’s Grace with Others

Here’s the really cool part: we don’t just get grace, we give it too! That means being kind when someone is grumpy, forgiving a friend who spilled glitter all over your art (looking at you, Fluffernutter), or helping someone even if you’re tired.

When we live with grace, we become walking sparkles of God’s love, lighting up gloomy places with joy and kindness. God’s grace is like a cozy blanket you can wrap others in, just by being gentle, brave, and loving—even when it’s hard.

God’s grace is like a stream of sparkles that flows from Heaven to your heart—and then splashes out to everyone around you!

Why Grace Is a Big Deal

Sometimes life feels like stepping on a LEGO barefoot—owie! But when we remember God’s grace, we find the strength to keep going. His grace reminds us that we’re never alone, that we’re deeply loved, and that we have everything we need to live with purpose, peace, and big squishy love.

So don’t keep grace in your pocket. Let it spill out—in your words, your hugs, and even your doodles! The more we share it, the more the world starts to sparkle with God’s love.

Family Questions to Talk About:

How does remembering God’s grace help you feel brave or calm?

Alice’s Faith Challenge! 🎨✨

Okay, so you want to live in God’s peace and grace this week? Me too! Mr. Fluffernutter and I have made a super-duper, bunny-approved challenge just for you. It’s like a mission from Heaven—but with glitter, markers, and lots of prayer hugs. Ready? Let’s go!

Ask God for Peace (Even When Your Spaghetti Falls Off Your Fork)

Sometimes our hearts feel like a fizzy soda can—shaky and about to pop! That’s when we ask God for peace. Whenever you feel wiggly-worried or thumpy in your tummy, just stop, close your eyes, and whisper,
“Dear God, please fill my heart with Your peace.”

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you…” — John 14:27

You could draw a tiny cloud with a smiley face or tape a verse to your door as a peace reminder. I made one that says, “God’s peace makes me brave like a lion in fuzzy socks.” Try breathing in slowly and saying, “God is with me,” then breathing out and saying, “And He loves me.” That turns panic into peace real fast.

🦋 Family idea: What’s something that makes you feel calm and close to God? Can you draw it or act it out?

Share God’s Grace (Even If Someone Eats the Last Cookie)

Grace is like sprinkles—you get some, you share some! This week, look for one way to show God’s grace to someone else. Maybe it’s saying something kind to your sister even if she stepped on your paper crown. Or maybe it’s forgiving your friend who forgot your secret handshake. Grace is a gift that keeps going—like jellybeans that never run out.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32

Try writing down one time this week when you gave someone grace. You’ll be surprised how much it warms your own heart, too!

🎁 Question time: How does it feel when someone shows you grace? Can you be that kind of superhero for someone else this week?

Make a “Peace and Grace” Poster (With Extra Sparkles, Please!)

Now let’s make something awesome! Grab your markers, crayons, or cereal box cardboard and create a “Peace and Grace” poster! In the middle, write:

“God’s Peace and Grace Sustain Me”
or
“God’s Grace Never Runs Out!”

Then decorate like it’s the best art day ever. Add words like Love, Joy, Hope, or maybe Snail Parade of Peace (okay, maybe that one’s just mine).

🎨 Alice’s Tip: Hang it on your door, your fridge, or even your bunny’s hideout! It’ll remind you that God’s gifts are always right there with you.

🖍️ Bonus Challenge: Ask your family to make their own posters too—then have a mini “Grace Gallery” show-and-tell night!

Let’s Talk About It!

  • When do you feel closest to God’s peace?
  • Who in your life could use a little extra grace this week?
  • What fun or creative way will you use to remember God’s peace and grace?

Ready to start the challenge? Mr. Fluffernutter already packed glitter glue and bunny treats. Let’s go live this week shining with peace and sprinkling grace like jellybean confetti everywhere we go! 💖🐰🌈

The Best Reminder: Yaya’s Peace-Prayer and a Bunny-Sized Truth

Before our Bible time ended, Yaya told us a story that made my heart feel like it had just wrapped itself in a giant cozy blanket. She said,

“When I asked God for peace, He filled my heart with calmness and reminded me that He’s always in control.”

Yaya had been feeling all twisty and nervous inside, kind of like when your spaghetti noodles slip off your fork during dinner with important guests. But after she prayed, poof! Her heart was calm, like a pond that stopped wobbling. That’s what living in God’s peace really looks like—quiet courage with sprinkles of joy.

God’s Peace Is Always Ready (Like a Backpack Full of Hugs)

When I heard Yaya’s story, I realized something HUGE. God’s peace and grace are never locked away in some fancy treasure chest—they’re right here, ready whenever we need them. Even if we’re scared, grumpy, or our socks are on backwards. God doesn’t wait for us to be perfect. He just waits for us to ask.

“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” — Psalm 29:11

We can lean on God’s promises like leaning against a tree that never falls over. He walks beside us, even in the weird, hard, messy parts of life—and He’s got more grace and peace than all the jellybeans in the universe.

Sharing Stories Grows God’s Garden of Grace

When we share our real stories—like Yaya did—we help each other see God’s peace in action. It’s like planting tiny seeds of hope in someone else’s heart. Our stories bloom into a garden where everyone feels less alone and more loved.

So let’s be storytellers of grace! Let’s talk about how God showed up when we were scared, or when we forgave someone, or even when we spilled orange juice and didn’t cry about it. (Okay, maybe cried a little.)

Shine Bright, Share Love, Stay Steady

Let’s make this our mission:
🌟 Live in God’s peace and grace every single day.
🌟 Trust Him like your bunny trusts you not to forget snack time.
🌟 Love others so big and bright that they feel God’s hug through you.

Every prayer, every kind word, every time we sit with someone who’s having a hard day—it’s like building a sparkly pillow fort of faith. Together, we become a community of courage, wrapped in God’s grace and glowing with His peace.

With bunny love and glitter hugs,
Alice (and Mr. Fluffernutter!) 🐰💕

P.S. Mr. Fluffernutter says,

“God’s peace is sweeter than carrot cake—and just as comforting!” 🥕✨
