Help your learner choose a pronoun AND explain what it means. These pronouns worksheets for Grade 2 turn noun replacement, subject/object choices, I/me and clear-message editing into a garden-pavilion rescue with Ariel and Alice.

- Six reusable reference cards, six cooperative game cards with rules and recording space, a drawing-and-writing workshop and a real-message editing task.

A routine parents can use again
Name the noun. Choose the pronoun for its job. Reread for clarity. "Ariel reads the note" becomes "She reads the note." "Ariel helps Alice" becomes "Ariel helps her." If two people could be meant by "she," repeating the intended name makes the message clear.
Use one or two pages in a short session, or repeat a mission as needed. This is flexible practice rather than a prescribed number of school days. Adults may read aloud or accept oral responses when decoding or handwriting would hide understanding.
Is it right for my learner?
Designed for Grade 2 learners who recognize common nouns and can follow short sentences with adult support. Character ages are separate from the target grade. This focused supplement covers personal subject/object pronouns and simple clear references; it does not teach reflexive or possessive pronouns and is not a complete grammar curriculum.
Printing, delivery and permission
Digital PDF download; no physical item ships. Unzip the customer file, then open either edition in a PDF reader. Print US Letter portrait at actual size/100%. No color printer, paid app, laminator or cutting is required. An adult can cut the optional reference/game cards. Print repeated copies for learners in your own household. Classroom, co-op, redistribution and resale rights are not included.
Common questions
Are the editions different lessons? No. There are 30 unique pages in two matching editions, not 60 unique lessons.
Are answers included? Yes. Pages 28-30 give answers, acceptable alternatives and criteria for open responses.
Is the game competitive? No. Learners explain choices and revise together; there is no speed requirement.
Can I use it without a color printer? Yes. Choose the low-ink PDF with white backgrounds and outline artwork.
Does it cover all Grade 2 pronouns? No. Reflexive and possessive forms are outside this focused pack.
Can a younger learner join? An adult may read and record oral responses if the learner is ready for the skill; the suggested grade is not a guarantee of readiness.
What does the free sample contain? Selected original pages 1, 5, 6, 10 and 20 plus a sample-only adult guidance page; nonconsecutive original page numbers are retained intentionally.
