“Every mystery has rules. Even weird ceiling men.”

👀 Mini-Game 1: Find Where He Might Be Hiding

Tap around the room. Some places hide clues. Some hide nonsense. Frankly, both are useful.

Level 3: Mostly silly with a dash of suspicious nonsense.

🎯 Mini-Game 3: Catch the Shadow

Click the moving shadow three times. If you miss, it mocks you spiritually.

🎨 Mini-Game 4: Draw Your Own Creepy Old Man… Then Redeem Him with Accessories

🙏 Brave Hearts Corner

Imagination can feel very big. So can weird thoughts. So can silly pretend stories that somehow get intense when someone starts scratching the air and whispering from behind a chair.

Even then, truth stays stronger than pretend fear.

2 Timothy 1:7 — “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Sometimes the bravest move is not yelling. Sometimes it is kindness, curiosity, prayer, or staying calm long enough to notice the shadow was actually just a curtain acting extra.

When Imagination Gets Big

One reason I love this game so much is that it turns something a little spooky into something creative, funny, and shared. Nobody has to stay stuck in fear when a family can laugh, think, and stay close together.

Ariel and Alice keep building the story with each new choice. One decision leads to another. One silly twist opens another surprise. Somewhere in the middle of all that pretend drama, there is a real lesson too: fear gets smaller when truth, kindness, and calm walk into the room.

Mr. Fluffernutter would like the record to clearly show that bunny leadership remains essential in all household mystery events.

2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. That truth works in serious moments, and it also works when someone is pretending a ceiling grandpa is watching you from above the lamp.

Bonus Ideas to Play This at Home

Want to make your own version of this game? Try these:

  • Give your mysterious character a ridiculous name.
  • Take turns describing where he is hiding.
  • Offer A, B, and C answers to the next choice.
  • Keep score with clues, courage points, and lost socks.
  • Let someone be the official Fluffernutter helper.
  • Draw your own version and turn him silly instead of scary.

Best rule of all: keep it playful, keep it creative, and let the story get more ridiculous every round.

Tell Us Your Ending 😂

If your family played along, tell us in the comments:

  • What did you name the creepy old man?
  • Which ending did you get?
  • What would Fluffernutter say if he joined your version of the mystery?

Frankly, I need to know how many other families are out here getting emotionally stalked by pretend ceiling weirdos.
