Jump to a chapter like a tiny explorer with snacks.

Dinner began the way dinner always begins: bowls arranged, spoons prepared, air quietly confident. Soup did soup things. Plates sat still, pretending they had never been involved in anything dramatic.Suspicion arrived immediately.Soup always looks innocent. Soup is never innocent.

A chair scraped. A napkin fluttered. Then Alice—small, brilliant, dangerous in the way only an imaginative kid can be—leaned forward with that particular sparkle in her eyes that means reality should begin filing paperwork.

Words popped out like a tiny firecracker:

“Imagine we were in a mansion and we ate carrots and yummy vegetables.”

Silence followed.

Not normal silence.

Silence with posture.

Air tightened like it had just heard a spell in a language older than bedtime. Forks went still. Even the table—our regular, innocent, boring table—held its breath.

Ears twitched. Paws found a napkin.

Mr. Fluffernutter here. White plush bunny. Professional witness. Reluctant adventurer. Part-time snack inspector.

Something shifted. Not the kind of shift where a lamp leans. A deeper shift. The kind that happens when imagination decides the room is too small for the story it wants to tell.

Walls forgot where they were supposed to stop.

Ceiling lifted as if surprised by its own existence.

Corners softened. Straight lines resigned.

Reality blinked.

And the blink was long enough for a mansion to sneak in.

A mansion arrived …

….the way a giant parade float arrives—suddenly, confidently, and with absolutely no apology.

One moment: kitchen.

Next moment: marble-ish floors, towering walls, a chandelier that seemed emotionally invested in sparkle, and hallways stretching farther than anyone should be allowed to walk without a snack break.

Staircases appeared and immediately stopped cooperating. One staircase curled left, split into two, then changed its mind and became three. Another staircase looped upward like a ribbon and then drifted slightly sideways like it wasn’t sure which direction was “up” anymore.

Doors hovered half-open, as if the mansion itself was whispering, go on—peek.

Ariel stood calmly—because Ariel always stands calmly, like she has a secret agreement with the universe to remain composed even when architecture melts into imagination. Hands held. Footsteps careful. Eyes forward.

Meanwhile, my plush bunny soul tried to leave my body and file a complaint.

Gravity wobbled.

Not “fall down” wobbled.

More like “gravity got distracted” wobbled.I leaned slightly and discovered the floor had opinions.

A dining hall opened ahead-

—massive, echoing, and dramatic in the way only a mansion dining hall can be. At its center sat a table so long it felt like it could host a family reunion, a royal banquet, and a small marching band at the same time.

Plates lined up like they were ready for inspection.

Bowls gleamed.

Then, as if the mansion had been waiting for this exact moment since the beginning of time, vegetables arrived with the energy of celebrity guests.

Carrots stood tall first.

Not standing upright in the bowl tall.

Standing like they had a job. Standing like they had a destiny. Standing like they had been practicing heroic posture in secret.

Broccoli gathered itself into an official-looking cluster, a leafy council. Several broccoli pieces leaned in toward one another as if discussing policies. I swear one broccoli floret cleared its throat.

Peas began rolling.

Neatly.

In lines.

Organized. Coordinated. Suspicious.

Potatoes sat there quietly, like wise elders. Nobody invited the potatoes to speak, and the potatoes did not care.

A carrot climbed onto a spoon like it was a stage.

“Finally,” it announced with a bright smile, “our moment.”

Alice’s eyes widened. Ariel’s posture stayed calm. My paws tightened on the napkin.

This… was happening.

Fluffernutter: “I remember everything.”

A mission appeared above the table.

🥕 CRUNCH Button

Press CRUNCH for a gentle “power-up” effect. (Sound can be muted.)

Power: 0

Each crunch adds sparkles. The mansion approves.

Not written. Not glowing text. More like… the feeling of a mission. The mansion hummed with expectation.

Eat the vegetables. Power the mansion.

Do not ask the peas questions.

Alice reached toward the plate.

A carrot knight smiled like it had been waiting its whole carrot life.

A bite happened.

Light pulsed outward like a gentle wave. A chandelier sparkled in approval. A door in the far wall clicked softly—like it just unlocked itself out of excitement.

A second bite happened.

One staircase shifted, reorganizing itself like a rearranging thought. A hallway bent slightly closer, as if the mansion wanted to watch.

A third bite happened.

Sparkles drifted downward like applause.Mr. Fluffernutter—witness, bunny, keeper of napkins—clutched the fabric like I was about to be called to testify in court.

Because honestly? I was.

Something deep in the mansion exhaled,

pleased. Walls brightened. The table gleamed. The room felt stronger—like imagination had plugged itself into a charger and hit 100%.

Carrots cheered quietly in their carrot way, heroic and proud.

Broccoli nodded as if a motion had passed unanimously.

Peas… rolled faster.

Potatoes remained silent. Potatoes are always silent. Potatoes know more than we do.

Then came the moment.

A carrot knight—cape fluttering, smile serene—stood at the edge of the plate like it was about to complete the final scene of its story.

Alice’s hand reached forward.

No fear. No sadness. Only purpose.

The carrot knight bowed slightly, then began to shimmer.

Sparkles lifted from the carrot like tiny lights floating upward.

Other vegetables cheered, proud and bright.

Mr. Fluffernutter bowed solemnly, because respect is required when destiny becomes crunchy.

After that,

the mansion began to settle.

Not collapse. Not disappear dramatically.

Settle, like a satisfied creature curling into a nap.

Chandeliers dimmed to gentle twinkle. Hallways unbent. Staircases stopped multiplying and returned to their assigned jobs. Doors closed softly, like book covers.

Air calmed.

The dining hall faded, folding back into normal life as neatly as a napkin that never went through chaos at all.Kitchen table again.

Empty bowls. Calm room.

Ariel relaxed. Alice relaxed.

Mr. Fluffernutter sat in the foreground and stared directly at you, the reader, because you need to understand something:

This happened.

Ears tilted slightly. Expression knowing. Witness energy at maximum.

One tiny sparkle remained near a carrot peel.

Proof.

Love,

Mr. Fluffernutter
