By Daddy Ryan

Fresh breeze nudged a handwritten sign on the fridge: “Reading Quest Today.”
Eager hands found backpacks; tiny sneakers thumped like soft drums across the hallway.
Mr. Fluffernutter tugged his own satchel, incredibly serious for a bunny with a marshmallow tail.

“Rules feel simple,” Ariel said, grinning. “Choose, build, rhyme, clap, arrange, spot, and celebrate.”
“Quests feel better with snacks,” Alice replied, patting a zip bag of crackers.
Fluffernutter saluted with one ear. “Words first, crumbs later.”

Park gate creaked open like a book’s first page. A shimmering kiosk blinked, Pick the right words to guide the bunny.

Patterns snapped into focus; rhymes lined up like cousins at a reunion.

Word beats bounced like claps at a living-room concert.
Hands counted straw-ber-ry, squeals punctuated every clap.
Fluffernutter bowed dramatically. “My poem now has rhythm.”

Muffins rescued by careful readers; crumbs finally allowed.

🔎 Read-and-Seek

Alice packed a tiny map. Mr. Fluffernutter nibbled a carrot while the bunny brigade practiced quiet hops. Ariel whispered, “Ready?” Together they tiptoed past the bright balloons to rescue the missing muffins.

Evening crept in with quiet yawns. Journals captured wins; hearts felt bigger than breakfast bowls.
Reading no longer seemed like a wall—more like a trail with friendly markers.
Fluffernutter’s final whisper floated over the pillows: “Tomorrow brings new chapters. We already know how to turn the page.”
