Something funny happened inside my tummy today—it felt like butterflies wearing tutus were doing the cha-cha! So while Daddy Ryan made me breakfast, I opened my tablet and painted a picture of The Royal Fluffernutter Forest. It had mushroom trampolines, a jellyfish parade, and a rainbow volcano that only sings lullabies. I was so proud of it, I showed it to Mr. Fluffernutter first. He said, “Alice, you are clearly a professional magical landscape designer.”
I laughed so hard I spilled syrup on my elbow. Mr. Fluffernutter tried to lick it off, but I reminded him he’s a stuffed bunny and we have rules about that.
🚐 Buckled Up and Big-Grinned
Then Poppy said, “Time to roll, sugarplum!” so we got into the big van—me, Mommy Blair, Daddy Ryan, and Mr. Fluffernutter, who insisted on sitting in my lap for emotional support. We bounced down the road, and I kept whispering my classmate names to Mr. Fluffernutter so he wouldn’t call anyone “Sir Toastypants” by mistake again.
When we got to school, the walls looked shinier and the floors looked more giggly than ever. I think they were smiling because they knew it was our big day.
🏫 Adventures in Alice’s Class Castle
My classroom looked like a kingdom of crayons! I ran in and gave everyone a Fluffernutter-level introduction. “This is Mr. Fluffernutter. He once saved a fairyland from sticky tape pirates and now he’s here to celebrate us.”
My friends passed him around like he was royal treasure. He told jokes and made everyone giggle, especially when he pretended to faint from too many stickers. I caught him dramatically and said, “You’ll live, my hero!” and everyone clapped.
Then it was award time.
🏆 The Best Kind of Award
Each kid got a special award. Liam got one for always sharing snacks (especially cheese sticks), and Zoey got one for turning everything into a dance. Then my name was called!
“Alice: For Always Encouraging Others!”
Mommy’s eyes got shiny. Daddy smiled big. Mr. Fluffernutter gave me a tiny bunny salute. I felt sparkly inside.
Because sometimes when someone’s sad or nervous or forgot how to smile, I just say, “Wanna hear a Fluffernutter joke?” or “You are totally the kind of brave God sings about!”
✨ Little Lights Shine Bright
When we got home, I made a pretend graduation stage in the living room and gave Mr. Fluffernutter an award for “Fluffiest Friend Who Saves the Day and Smells Like Hope.”
Then we read this verse together:
Hebrews 10:24 — “Let us think of ways to encourage one another with acts of love and good deeds.”
Mr. Fluffernutter said, “Encouragement is like glitter. It sticks to everyone and makes them sparkle.”
