Last night, the sky sounded grumpy. Like a dinosaur stomping on a giant bag of popcorn. Boom! Rattle! Crackle-SNAP! I yelped and dove under the couch fortress I built from two couch cushions, three blankies, and one emergency marshmallow stash.
Mr. Fluffernutter—my royal bunny of light and fluff and undercover giggles—was already on high alert. “Tuck your ears!” I whispered. “This could be the storm where evil tries to sneak into the kingdom of Jellybean!”
He nodded seriously. One ear drooped. He looked like he was trying to look brave, but also like he really needed a snack.
Everything felt BIG and DARK and a little squishy inside my chest.
But then… Mommy opened her Bible. Her voice floated in like candlelight. She read,
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)
Fluffernutter and I looked at each other.
“Ohhhh,” I gasped, “that means God’s light is like… super-shiny sparkler armor that never gets soggy, even in scary storms!”
He gave me a heroic thumbs-up. (Well, as heroic as a stuffed bunny can.)
That’s when I knew: even if the world outside goes boom-boom-BOOM, God’s love goes glow-glow-GLOW. Always. Forever. Even when evil looks big and scary.
So I drew a flashlight with wings in my notebook and named it “Captain Glowbeam.”
And then, Fluffernutter whispered, “Let’s tell the whole Bunny Brigade—we march at dawn… with hope.”

🌪️ What Is the Mystery of Lawlessness? (And Does It Have a Secret Map?)
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
—2 Thessalonians 2:7 (KJV)
Okay, so Yaya read that verse, and I was like: “Wait, mystery?! Like a detective bunny case?”
Mr. Fluffernutter immediately put on his invisible monocle. (That’s how you know it’s serious.)
Yaya smiled and explained that the “mystery of lawlessness” means evil is already sneaking around—even when we can’t always see it. Like shadowy toe-stubbers hiding behind toy boxes. But guess what? God is still holding the string.
🎈 “Like when you fly a kite,” she said, “you control how far it goes. Even when the wind tries to take it, you’re still holding on.”
WHOA. That made my tummy feel all warm and floaty.
Then she told us about a time she had a big worry (like, grown-up huge), and she prayed super hard. She imagined God holding her kite-string—keeping things from getting totally tangled. And do you know what? Even though the storm didn’t stop right away, her heart did. It calmed down. Because she remembered God wasn’t letting go.
🌱 Yaya also said God’s timing is like gardening. You don’t plant jellybeans in winter, right? You wait for the perfect season. So when bad stuff tries to grow too fast, God says, “Nope—not yet.”
So now, I think lawlessness isn’t just some creepy thing hiding in the dark. It’s a reminder that even when evil feels like it’s everywhere, God’s still got it on a leash. And that leash? That’s His love.
💬 Big Thought Bubble
“Even when bad things are happening, God is holding the string. He never lets go.”
🐰 Wonder Time! Let’s Think Together:
What helps you remember that God is always in charge, even when things look messy?
Can you think of a time when something felt out of control, but you trusted God anyway?

🐾 Evil on a Leash? Yep—God’s Holding It.
Yaya told us something whoa-worthy the other night. She said evil is like a big, grumpy dog on a leash. It might bark and growl and act scary… but it can only go as far as God lets it.
🎯 Keyword Reminder: Evil is real, but God is in control. Always.
I blinked at Fluffernutter and whispered, “So evil can’t just run around wild like jellybeans in a pillowcase?”
Yaya nodded gently. “Even when the world feels chaotic,” she said, “God is still writing the story—and He holds the leash.”
She looked kind of shiny in the eyes when she told us about a time when her life felt super swirly. Grown-up kind of swirly—like big worry clouds and thunder feelings. But she kept praying and reminding herself, “God hasn’t dropped the leash.” And guess what? Peace tiptoed into her heart like a warm, soft slipper.
🐰 Ariel got her thinky face on. “So… God decides how much evil gets to happen?”
Daddy nodded from the kitchen, flipping pancakes like a theologian. “Exactly. Evil doesn’t surprise Him. He knows when to let things happen, and He knows when to stop them forever.”
That gave me the goosebump giggles. Because even if darkness feels huge—God’s light wins. Every time.
💬 Bunny-Sized Truth Bomb:
“Even when bad stuff happens, God is still in charge. He’s got the leash, the light, and the pancakes.”
🌈 Let’s Wonder Together:
What’s a way you can remember that God is always in control—maybe a song, a Bible verse, or a drawing?
Have you ever felt afraid of something big and scary? What helped you feel safe again?

💥 The Antichrist Shows Up… But Jesus Says Nope!
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed… whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”
—2 Thessalonians 2:8 (KJV)
Yaya told us something that sounded like a boss battle from a Bible video game. She said one day, a big ol’ bad guy called the Antichrist will try to trick people and pretend he’s stronger than God.
Umm… rude.
But Paul (that Bible-smart guy!) said that Jesus won’t even need to yell or stomp His foot. Nope. Just Jesus’ words and His super-bright presence will poof! destroy him.
I gasped so loud my juice box made bubbles.
🎇 Yaya said, “It’s like when you flip on a light in a dark room—BOOM. Darkness disappears.”
And Ariel, of course, added, “Yeah! Jesus is the brightest light of all!”
That made my heart do a brave bunny hop.
Because no matter how sneaky or strong evil thinks it is… Jesus just shows up, and poof, no more lies. No more fear. No more hiding. Just light, love, and total victory.
💬 Shiny Truth Alert:
“Evil can hide in shadows—but Jesus is the light. And when the light shows up, darkness runs away.”
🌟 Let’s Think Like Faith Ninjas:
Have you ever seen something scary go away when someone turned on a light?
What does it mean that Jesus wins with just His words?
Can you draw what it might look like when Jesus’ light fills a room that was once scary?

🛡️ Loving God’s Truth Is Like Wearing Super Armor
“They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.”
—2 Thessalonians 2:10 (NIV)
So, guess what Paul said? He warned that some people are gonna fall for the Antichrist’s super-duper sneaky lies—all because they didn’t love God’s truth.
Yaya nodded really slow and told us about the time someone tried to convince her of something that sounded kinda right… but wasn’t! “Because I knew what the Bible really says,” she told us, “I wasn’t fooled.”
She even added a little eyebrow lift, like she was saying, Not today, sneaky nonsense.
🛡️ Ariel jumped in with her superhero hands on her hips:
“Knowing God’s Word is like wearing truth armor—you don’t get hurt by fake arrows!”
YESSSSS. That gave Fluffernutter such a boost of courage that he marched in a circle with a spoon as a sword.
It made me think: when we fill our hearts with God’s Word, it’s like having truth goggles and glitter shields—so when lies come flying at us, they just bounce off like jellybeans hitting a trampoline.
And loving God’s truth doesn’t just keep us safe—it helps us help others, too. We become truth superheroes who say, “Hey, wanna come stand in the light with me?”
💬 Super-Truth Reminder:
“When we know God’s truth, lies don’t trick us. We’re protected like knights in Bible armor!”
🧠 Let’s Wonder Together:
Who could you help by sharing something true from God’s Word?
Have you ever believed something that turned out not to be true? How did you find the truth?
What’s one Bible verse you can memorize this week to help guard your heart?

🌈 How I’m Gonna Trust God (Even When Stuff Feels Wobbly)
Sometimes, trusting God feels like standing on one foot during a windy day while holding a cookie. Kinda tricky, right? But don’t worry—I’ve got a plan!
🙏 Step 1: Pray for Understanding (Also, Maybe Ask About Unicorns)
Every day, I’m gonna pray and talk to God—even about weird stuff like why socks disappear in the laundry or how clouds hold rain.
But mostly I’ll pray this:
“God, help me understand what You’re doing and help me trust You—even when I don’t understand everything.”
Because when I pray, I feel God scooch closer to my heart. My thoughts stop doing spinny-flips, and peace tiptoes in like a blanket hug. That’s how I know He’s listening—even if the answer is, “Not yet, sweet pea.”
💬 Heart Hug Reminder:
“Prayer is like giving your worries to God and saying, ‘Here, You drive.’”
📖 Step 2: Read God’s Word (Like a Treasure Map With Sparkles)
I’m gonna memorize verses that feel like superhero shields for my brain—like this one:
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” —Psalm 46:1
I call that one Fluffernutter’s Emergency Verse. When I get scared (like during thunderstorms or dentist appointments), I whisper it like a secret code and suddenly… my brave gets braver.
Reading the Bible is kinda like finding glow-in-the-dark stepping stones. One verse can help light up the path when everything else feels foggy.
✨ Step 3: Be a Light (Even If I’m Just a Tiny Firefly)
Even when the world feels loud and ouchy, I wanna shine like a flashlight that just had its batteries changed.
That means:
- 💌 Sharing this blog with a friend
- 📖 Inviting someone to read God’s Word with me
- 💬 Saying kind things—even when I’m a little cranky
Because if we all light one little corner of our world, guess what? Darkness has to leave. And that’s how we show people how much Jesus loves them.
💬 Fluffy Faith Flashlight:
“God’s love is the light—and YOU get to help shine it!”
🌟 Let’s Wonder Together:
- What’s one Bible verse you want to memorize this week?
- When do you feel closest to God—while praying, reading, or helping others?
- Who could use a little sparkle of God’s love from you today?

🎨 Craft Time: Make Your Own Shield of Truth!
Let’s do a super sparkly project to help us remember one amazing thing:
God’s Word protects us from lies—like a shield that never rusts, breaks, or forgets your birthday. 🛡️✨
Last week, Ariel and I had the ultimate craft-a-thon in the kitchen (which also became the official Shield of Truth Workshop). We both picked a favorite Bible verse to go on our shields:
🦋 Ariel picked:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” —John 14:6🐰 I picked:
“Your word is truth.” —John 17:17
Then came the decorating part! Stickers flew. Glitter danced. Fluffernutter helped me glue on foam stars with his invisible glue paws (he’s very precise). We mixed colors like “Victory Purple” and “Faith Lemon Yellow.” Mine even had a jellybean with sunglasses drawn on it. Because truth can be cool.
Now our Shields of Truth hang proudly in our room, glowing like bedtime nightlights that whisper:
💬 “You’re safe. You’re loved. You’ve got God’s truth.”
💡 Shield Power Reminder:
“When lies come your way, God’s Word says, ‘NOPE, not today!’”
🎁 Bonus Blessing: Truth Sharing Mission!
Daddy said, “Hey! What if you make some extra shields to give to your friends?”
UM, YES PLEASE.
So now Ariel and I are on a secret Truth-Shield Mission to surprise our friends with custom-crafted Bible-verse armor. Because sharing God’s truth makes your heart AND their heart sparkle.
🧠 Let’s Wonder Together:
Who in your life might need a reminder that God’s Word keeps us safe?
What Bible verse would you put on your Shield of Truth?
How could you decorate it to show your faith?

🌟 A Prayer for Strength and Trust (With Bunny Paws Folded)
Last night, under our squishy blanket fort, Mr. Fluffernutter and I whispered this prayer together with all our might (and a little glitter on our cheeks):
“Dear Jesus,
Thank You for being in charge—even when stuff gets super weird and wobbly.
When we feel scared or small, help us remember You have a big plan full of light and love.
Teach us to trust Your truth, shine Your hope, and share Your love with everyone—even grumpy frogs and sleepy neighbors.
Be our strength, our sparkle, and our superhero shield.
Amen.” 🐰✨
And do you know what happened next? Fluffernutter blinked once (which is bunny for “That was powerful”), and I felt that swirly, floaty peace settle in like warm cocoa in my belly. Jesus always hears us. Every word. Even the wiggly ones.
💬 Prayer Puddle of Power:
“Jesus is our light, our strength, and our guide—even on the days we drop our snacks and forget how to spell ‘victory.’”

🧡 Your Turn! Let’s Shine Together
Wanna know a secret?
You can totally write your own prayer too!
Or you could…
📝 Memorize a Bible verse like:
“The Lord is my strength and my shield.” —Psalm 28:7
📓 Start a journal with drawings, doodles, or prayers to Jesus.
🕯️ Make a lantern (with lots of stickers!) and hang it by your bed to remind you:
God’s light never burns out.
🧡 Talk to your family about what helps you stand strong in faith.
💌 Or just tell someone you’re praying for them. That’s a HUGE way to shine.
Until next time…
Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep shining like a marshmallow with a mission.
I’m so proud of your brave heart and big faith.
With bunny hugs and glittery hope,
Alice 🐰✨
