Keep Christ at the Center: Embracing Hope and Endurance

A young girl with light brown, slightly wavy hair stands hand-in-hand with a small white stuffed bunny, both viewed from behind, gazing up at a glowing cross in the sky. The vibrant landscape features colorful flowers, rolling hills, and a whimsical, faith-inspired atmosphere.

By Alice

Okay… real talk: Have you ever tried walking across a lava floor made of LEGOs while singing a worship song and balancing a pudding cup on your head? No? WELL I HAVE! (In my imagination. Obviously.)

That’s kinda what enduring feels like sometimes—like when you keep hopping forward even though your socks are squishy, your snack stash ran out, and your little sister keeps calling you “Captain Tootpants” during prayer time. (Rude.)

Mr. Fluffernutter says endurance means you don’t quit. Not even when it’s hard. Not even when you’re sleepy, or grumpy, or the Bible verse sounds like a secret code only giraffes understand. Nope! You hold tight to Jesus like He’s your bunny-shaped parachute, and you keep going—because He kept going first!

Wanna hear something even cooler? When you keep Jesus smack-dab in the middle of your heart—even when life feels like a noodle tornado—you become part of His super-special sparkle squad. Like, “glow-in-the-dark faith hero” kind of squad. Your love, your hope, your teeny-tiny kindnesses? They all become part of God’s big glory story. 🦸‍♀️📖💖

So grab your glittery gear, whisper your brave prayer, and let’s bounce into this blog like we’re storming a castle made of cupcakes and Bible verses! Because today’s mission is wild and wonderful: we’re learning how to keep Christ at the very center—even if we’re surrounded by chaos, couch crumbs, or invisible jellyfish.

Let the Bunny Brigade of Bravery BEGIN! 🐇⚔️✨

Illustration of Jesus surrounded by people with the question “What does it mean to keep Christ at the center?”

🧁 What Does It Actually Mean to Keep Christ at the Center?

Okay, okay—so imagine your heart is a cupcake. (Stick with me, this is important.) And smack in the middle of that cupcake is the sparkliest, swirliest frosting swirl ever made: Jesus! 🧁💖

That’s kinda what it means to keep Christ at the center. It’s like saying, “Yup, Jesus, You get the middle seat in my heart forever—and the window view too!” 🌈

Yaya told me, “The resurrection of Jesus isn’t just a story—it’s the reason we have hope, strength, and the promise of eternal life.” I nodded so hard my bunny ears (okay, Fluffernutter’s bunny ears) flopped right off the table. Because WOW. That means Jesus didn’t just poof out of the tomb one day—He rewrote the whole story for all of us. 📖✨

“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel.” — 2 Timothy 2:8 (NIV)

Then Daddy said something that made me spill my glitter glue: “Keeping Christ at the center means trusting Him with every part of our lives. His resurrection shows He has power over everything—even death.”

Whoa. Power over everything? Like, even broccoli? (Fluffernutter says yes.)

Ariel, being Ariel, asked the best question ever:
“So, the resurrection is why we can trust Jesus no matter what?”

Daddy nodded (he’s really good at that wise-head-nod thing) and said, “Exactly. Jesus’ resurrection proves that He defeated death, and because of that, we can have faith that we will live with Him forever.”

That’s when I gasped so loud it scared Bash under the couch.

Because listen up: Jesus beat the biggest, baddest boss level EVER. And now we get to live forever with Him? That’s not just good news—that’s sprinkle-exploding, choir-of-angels, bunny-cartwheel kind of news!

So when life gets wobbly—like when your best friend ignores you or your cookies burn or someone says something mean—we can remember the empty tomb. We can say, “Jesus is still in the middle of my heart cupcake. I’m not alone.”

🐇 Family Chat Time:

How does the resurrection give you hope when you’re scared or sad?

Can you think of a time when you had to trust Jesus even when things felt tricky?

What does it look like to put Jesus in the center of your day—like during school, chores, or playtime?

🌟 Jesus’ Resurrection Is Our Forever-Glowy Hope

So guess what? Paul said to remember Jesus—“descended from David” and raised from the dead (2 Timothy 2:8)—like a special royal rescue plan that started way back in Bible times and still sparkles today! 📖👑✨

Yaya explained it while braiding my hair (with rainbow ribbons, obviously). She said, “God promised that a Savior would come from David’s family. Jesus fulfilled that promise, and His resurrection proves He is the Messiah. Everything—from His family tree to His rising again—was part of God’s plan from the very beginning.”

Whoa. That means Jesus didn’t just show up. He was promised, prophesied, and perfectly planted into the biggest God-story ever!

“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel.” — 2 Timothy 2:8 (NIV)

Ariel asked (in her very wise voice), “So when we talk about Jesus, we should always remember that He’s alive?”

Daddy gave one of those warm smiles that feels like a flashlight under your blanket fort. “Exactly,” he said. “His resurrection is what gives us hope. Even when things feel dark, Jesus is our bright light. He overcame death, and that means we’re never stuck—there’s always a way forward.”

So basically: Jesus is alive, He keeps His promises, and He’s walking right next to us—even when we feel like snails stuck in peanut butter. 🐌🍯✝️

He’s not just a page in a book—He’s our forever-alive, always-with-us Savior. That’s why we can hold on to hope tighter than our favorite stuffed bunny during a thunderstorm. (Looking at you, Fluffernutter.)

🐇 Bunny Questions for Your Heart:

Can you think of a time when Jesus helped you feel hope even when something was hard?

Why do you think it’s so important that Jesus came from King David’s family?

What does it mean to YOU that Jesus is alive right now?

🐰🌱 Enduring for the Gospel: Why Bunny Boots Sometimes Feel Heavy

So, guess what I learned today? Suffering isn’t just about sad faces and soggy cereal. Sometimes, it’s like wearing invisible bunny boots made of bricks… but you’re still hopping for Jesus anyway. 🥹🐇✨

Paul said something mega-wow in the Bible:

“I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus.” — 2 Timothy 2:10 (ESV)

Whoa. That means Paul was okay going through yucky, ouchy stuff—like prison and being cold and hungry—so that other people could hear about Jesus and be saved.

Daddy explained it like this: “Paul knew his suffering wasn’t wasted. It was like planting seeds that would grow into someone else’s salvation.”

I blinked super hard because that made me think: What if my hard things are actually secret seeds? Like when I share my crayons even when I want to keep the sparkly ones. Or when I comfort Alice-the-stuffed-animal (my backup bunny) during thunderstorms because someone else is scared too. 🌧️💗

Then Yaya said something that made my cocoa jiggle: “Even when Paul was stuck in prison, he said, ‘The Word of God is not bound.’ That means God’s truth is like a zoomy rocket—it can’t be stopped, even by walls or chains or crabby people!”

“But the Word of God is not bound.” — 2 Timothy 2:9 (ESV)

So yeah, sometimes we hurt. Sometimes things feel unfair. But guess what? God doesn’t waste anything—not even teardrops, scraped knees, or really bad days. He turns our hardships into hope-launchers for other people. 💫✝️

Ariel, being her brilliant Bible-y self, asked, “So when we go through hard things, it’s not for nothing?”

Daddy nodded like a wise turtle. “Exactly. God can use our struggles to bring hope to others. Even if we don’t see it now, those seeds will bloom in His time.”

That means our little hops—our quiet courage, our stay-faithful moments—can plant giant gardens of grace in someone else’s heart. 🌼✨

🐇 Wonder Time: Family Chat & Heart Hops

What seed might you be planting today without even realizing it?

Can you think of a time when something hard helped someone else feel brave or loved?

Why do you think God lets us go through hard things sometimes?

Colorful illustration of biblical men and women marching under a banner that reads “Faithfulness leads to eternal glory.”

🏁💖 Faithfulness Leads to Eternal Glory (And Maybe Confetti Cannons Too)

Okay, story time! Paul wrote something that made me stop mid-marshmallow munch:

“If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him.” — 2 Timothy 2:12 (KJV)

Wait… what?! If we suffer, we get to reign with Jesus? Like, with crowns and capes and glittery kingdom keys?! 🎖️👑🐰

Yaya explained it super gently while stirring her tea (which smelled like hugs and hope). She said, “Suffering is part of following Jesus, but it leads to eternal glory. The resurrection gives us courage to endure, because the reward is far greater than any challenge.”

So basically: tough stuff = training for the ultimate sparkle-filled finish line! ✨

Ariel asked, “So, when we suffer for Jesus, it’s like preparing for a prize?”

Daddy gave her the double-eye-twinkle smile and said, “Exactly! Think of it like running a race. Every step—every ouchie, every lonely moment, every prayer you whisper in the dark—gets you closer to Jesus’ victory party. It’s not just about getting through it. It’s about growing strong in your faith so you’re ready to reign with Him forever.”

Then he added, “Athletes train really hard. They sweat and stumble and get sore, but they keep going because the prize is worth it. That’s what our trials are like—they’re building our spiritual muscles so we can dance through heaven’s gates stronger, braver, and full of joy.”

🎉 And then I imagined a finish line made of rainbow streamers and cloud cupcakes, with Jesus waiting there, arms open wide, saying, “Well done, my brave little bunny.” 🐇💗

Daddy finished with something I scribbled in my sparkle journal: “It’s not just about the momentary pain. It’s about the everlasting joy that awaits. Every trial brings us one hop closer to Christ’s glory.”

So let’s hop with hearts held high—even when the road gets puddle-y. Because Jesus promised the finish line is filled with forever joy. 🌈🏃‍♀️🐾

🐇 Bunny-Brave Chat Questions:

How would YOU decorate heaven’s finish line for Jesus’ returning runners?

What’s something hard you’ve gone through that helped you grow stronger in your faith?

Why do you think God uses our challenges to prepare us for eternity?

💗✨ How I Plan to Keep Christ at the Center (With a Bunny-Sized Battle Plan)

Okay, okay—so after learning about all this resurrection-hope-glory-power stuff, I made a sparkle-scribbled plan with Mr. Fluffernutter (he’s in charge of strategy, snacks, and snuggles). 🐰📜✨

This is how I’m gonna keep Jesus right in the center of my heart—like the chewy jellybean in the middle of the best kind of lollipop.

🎯 Focus on Jesus (Even When My Socks Feel Sad)

Every single day, I’m gonna remind myself: Jesus is ALIVE. That means I’m never ever alone, even if the day feels like a pile of spilled cereal and lost crayons. 🙃

“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead…” — 2 Timothy 2:8 (NIV)

His resurrection isn’t just a super-cool miracle—it’s my secret superpower. It gives me strength when I feel wobbly, brave when I feel shy, and hope when things get crumbly. I’ll hold His words in my heart like a flashlight during hide-and-seek.

🛡️ Be Faithful (Even When It’s Tricky-Wicky)

Sticking with what’s right can feel like walking uphill in banana shoes, but I’m gonna do it anyway. I’ll trust that God’s working through my teeny-tiny efforts, even when no one sees.

So when I want to shout instead of share? I’ll whisper a prayer.
When I feel left out or misunderstood? I’ll remember that Jesus sees everything—and He totally understands.

“If we endure, we will also reign with Him.” — 2 Timothy 2:12 (ESV)

🌈 Encourage Others (Because Bunnies Don’t Hop Alone)

Here’s the fun part! I’m going to spread the hope of Jesus like confetti at a kindness parade. 🎉💌

That means cheering on my friends, reminding them that God’s love is bigger than any booboos or battles they face. Maybe I’ll write notes with sparkly stickers. Maybe I’ll pray with someone who’s having a rainy-heart day.

Fluffernutter says this makes me an official Bunny Brigade Encouragement Captain, and I fully accept that title. 🐇💖

🐾 Let’s Bunny-Hop Into Action:

  • What’s one way YOU can keep Jesus in the center of your day today?
  • Can you think of someone who needs a little encouragement this week?
  • How do you remind yourself of God’s promises when you’re feeling discouraged?

🎨 Craft Time: Make a Resurrection Reminder Wreath!

Okay, crafters of courage and glue-fingered disciples… Ready your scissors! ✂️🌸🐰

Let’s make something super special to help us remember the hope of Jesus’ resurrection every single day—a Resurrection Reminder Wreath! This happy hoop of color and truth will remind our hearts that Jesus is alive, and His love never runs out (not even on Mondays).

🧺 What You’ll Need:

  • One big paper plate (or cardboard circle) – this will be your wreath base, kind of like a holy donut of hope!
  • Colorful paper or tissue paper – for flowers, sunbursts, crosses, hearts, or bunny-shaped joy explosions!
  • Markers, glue, and stickers – because sparkles are basically required when celebrating eternal life.
  • Optional: Ribbon or string for hanging and a sprinkle of glitter if you’re feeling extra victorious (Fluffernutter says yes).

🪄 How to Make Your Wreath of Resurrection Wonder:

Step 1: Cut Out the Center

Cut a big circle out of the middle of your paper plate to make your wreath shape. (Grown-up supervision encouraged—unless you’re a certified safety-scissor ninja.)

Step 2: Decorate with Meaning

Now comes the fun part! Add:

  • 🌼 Flowers to show new life
  • ✝️ Crosses to honor Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection
  • 💖 Hearts to represent His love
  • 🌞 Sunrays for the joy of Easter morning!

Write joyful faith phrases like:

  • “Jesus is Alive!”
  • “Hope in Him!”
  • “Risen and Reigning!”

Step 3: Add a Key Bible Verse

Write out this powerful promise in the center or across the top:

“If we died with Him, we will also live with Him.” — 2 Timothy 2:11 (NIV)

That verse is like a treasure chest key—it unlocks the biggest truth of all: Jesus’ resurrection means we get to live forever with Him!

Step 4: Hang It Loud and Proud!

Put your Resurrection Wreath somewhere special—on the fridge, your bedroom door, or the hallway where you do your bunny hops. Let it whisper to you each day: You are loved, you are not alone, and Jesus wins! 🎉

🐇 Faith-Filled Family Questions:

  • What part of your wreath reminds you most of Jesus?
  • Why is the resurrection so important for our faith?
  • Where will you hang your wreath to remind you of God’s promises every day?

🙏 A Bunny-Eared Prayer for Strength and Faithfulness

Mr. Fluffernutter and I sat cross-legged with our eyes squinched tight and our paws folded just so. And this is the prayer we whispered—sparkle-slow and hope-filled—to the Risen King of Everything:

“Dear Jesus, thank You for rising from the grave and filling our hearts with wild, wonderful hope! Your love makes us brave, Your grace makes us steady, and Your resurrection reminds us that even the darkest days can bloom with joy.

Please help me keep You right in the center of my heart—like the twinkliest treasure in my jellybean jar. Guide my thoughts, my choices, and my words so they shine with Your love.

When things get stormy or scary, remind me to cling to You like a bunny with wind-blown ears. Teach me to trust Your plan, even when it feels all twisty and upside down.

Thank You for the gift of forever-life with You—that means we’ll never, ever be separated. I want to share that good news with everyone I meet, like handing out joy cupcakes with sprinkles of truth on top.

Let my faith sparkle so bright that even the grumpiest snails notice something special. May my life be a story that points straight to You.

In Your amazing, holy, always-with-me name I pray—Amen.”** 🐇💕

💡 Your Turn: Be Faithful, Be Kind, Be Wonderfully You

Wanna join the Bunny Brigade of Faithfulness this week? Fluffernutter and I made a sparkle-scribbled scroll of brave and beautiful ideas you can try at home, school, or wherever your jellybean boots take you.

These tiny acts of love are how we stand by others—just like Onesiphorus did for Paul. And guess what? They’re also how we shine God’s light with bunny-sized bravery. 🌟🐰

🌳 Make a Faithfulness Tree

Every leaf = one act of kindness or loyalty. You can…

  • Hug someone who’s having a hard day
  • Do a chore without being asked (even the icky ones!)
  • Write “God loves you!” on a sticky note and surprise someone

Soon, your tree will look like a forest of faith!

🎀 Stand Up for a Friend

If someone’s left out, sad, or picked on… hop over and include them. Say:

  • “Wanna sit with me?”
  • “You’re not alone.”
  • “Jesus made you wonderfully!”

📖 Share a Resurrection Verse

Choose your favorite verse about Jesus rising from the dead—maybe 2 Timothy 2:11!—and read it out loud to your family. Or whisper it to your stuffed animals. Or decorate it on your mirror with dry-erase markers. Let His promise live everywhere.

Until next time, keep hopping toward hope, snuggling truth like a bunny blanket, and shining your sparkly light for Jesus.

With giggles, glue sticks, and bunny blessings,
